NAME : CATRIONA
I successfully completed theECDL in the summer of 2005. Having this qualification, it gave me the confidence and the scope to apply for other posts and in January 2006 I successfully secured a position with “Sure Start” in Omagh. Thanks “Delta”
NAME : MARY
The Delta Project gave me the confidence and belief in myself to pursue further training and to attend an interview and get a full time job. Before the Delta Programme I was concerned that because of my age I would not be able to get a “proper” full time job. The Personal Development and Interview Techniques was invaluable training for me, as I had not attended an interview for 30 years! I met men and women in similar circumstances and we supported each other. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting these people and sharing their experiences.
I can honestly say, that without the Delta Programme I would not have had the confidence or belief in myself to obtain my NVQ II in Care or attend an interview and be successful. I would like to share this with anybody who feels that they are too old or unsure of themselves that if I can do it, they can do it. I would advise them to contact Delta as the staff are very friendly and approachable and it could be the start of a new career and new life especially those who have reared their family and want to do something just for themselves. I have certainly not regretted doing it and neither will they – go for it!!
NAME : CAROL
Carol, 45, from Cookstown is married with five children. Prior to Delta, Carol worked for many years within the sales and hospitality industry. Her desire for further development encouraged her to undertake a diploma in Reception Studies with Omagh College, which consisted of training five days a week for a year. With the skills already in hand Carol decided that a work placement through Delta would help her gain experience needed to compete in today’s job market.
Advice to potential participants – “Go for it! Delta is a great opening to the world of employment. You are well trained. The co-operation and help that you need is always there".

Delta offers him the opportunity to gain full accreditation by studying NVQ Level II in administration with Tyrone Training Services. This involves the completion of 3 -5 units. Raymond is also undertaking an administrative placement whilst participating in the Delta Programme.
Advice to potential participants – “Get on the programme. You will see that it’s for you".
NAME : MARY MC
I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Delta programme. This programme helped me get back into full time employment, which I have recently secured. During my time on Delta I got the chance to complete training programmes that I had wanted to do, such as first aid and accounts levels one and two. I also went back to work in an office for the first time since my daughter was born. I also completed a Personal development and interview skills course, which I found to be of invaluable help to me, this helped me prepare for my interview and I also got the chance to re-assess how I spend my time.
While I was on Delta my daughter was looked after by Tree house Nursery, which was paid for by Delta. This was of great benefit to me as I was able to go to work. This course helped me build up my confidence in the workplace again and I would highly recommend this programme to anyone interested in it, I got a lot from it, and I am very thankful. Overall I am better qualified, I have secured full time employment, made lots of new friends, and the bonuses which I received on completion has persuaded me to treat my myself and my daughter to a nice holiday.
